Why Choose Our Program

Explore the difference.

At Cliffside Recovery, we offer high-quality drug and alcohol addiction treatment in a comfortable, supportive environment.

Outpatient addiction treatment is a form of rehab very similar to inpatient treatment. You attend a part-time schedule of individual and group therapy sessions interspersed with things like 12-step programs at an outpatient rehab center.

The type of individual and group therapy you get will vary from one outpatient rehab center to the next. Some might specialize in mental health services that simultaneously give you dual diagnosis treatment for addiction and mental health disorders, while others might specialize in family and marriage counseling.

The most significant difference is that you don't live at the rehab center. Instead, you get to return home every night and go back to the rehab center to complete your therapy sessions as required.

Outpatient addiction treatment is best for:

People who have already completed an inpatient program. The different levels of care in a rehab facility are designed to serve as a step-down approach, so as you complete one level, you step down to the next level. After completing an inpatient program, you have the skills necessary to regain some of your independence by living on your own in a halfway house, sober home, or your regular home.

People who are struggling with a moderate addiction don't need 24-hour supervision. In these situations, you might be struggling with a moderate addiction but still be able to take care of yourself, maintain your independence, and even hold down a job, but you know it's time to get help.

Why Choose Our ProgramRecovery Program

The Benefits of Addiction Treatment at Cliffside Recovery

Attending an addiction treatment program, especially on the outpatient level, has a number of benefits for those seeking treatment for substance abuse.

Keep Your Job

Firstly, if you start an addiction treatment program that offers outpatient care, you can keep or secure a job. Many programs at drug rehab centers like Cliffside Recovery offer flexible hours, so you can attend an outpatient rehab center in the evenings or around other professional or personal obligations. Legally, the Family and Medical Leave Act means they can't fire you if you have a job and thereafter get help for addiction. However, the time you take off for treatment is unpaid, so if you are the primary earner in your home, you might not be able to afford to take months off at a time. Cliffside Recovery stands apart from outpatient providers, with individual and group sessions available every day. You can attend twenty-one different group meetings each week, so you are sure to find something that works. What's more, you can get one-on-one counseling if you have a court order.

Affordable Treatment

Because you aren't staying overnight or having meals prepared, outpatient drug and alcohol rehab is much less expensive compared to inpatient rehab. What's more, all health insurance plans are required by federal law to provide coverage for things like mental health treatment, which can often extend to the therapy you receive at an outpatient rehab center. Even in cases where it doesn't, it is very likely that your particular insurance provider will cover, at least in part, the cost of therapy and medications for outpatient addiction treatment. This means you must find the time and transportation to and from your outpatient rehab center.

Integrative Family Care

With outpatient addiction treatment, there is a stronger emphasis on family integration. While in a residential or inpatient program, you are on your own, working with professionals and alongside people who are also going through rehab. But with outpatient drug and alcohol rehab, your close friends and family might be able to join you in things like family therapy, marriage counseling, or 12-step programs.

Stories of Healing

Client Testimonials

Thanks to my brother-in-law Eric I found recovery in 2023 and attended the program for 4 months. Even though it was the most difficult thing to be away from my kids I learned enough to never want to drink or use drugs again to jeopardize my freedom or my precious time with my family.

I can be honest and say my counselor has been the change that I needed. As a man it is not easy to open up and share. But he created an environment that felt like a safe place to share, accept positive criticism, and feel that you are being heard.

I've only been in one recovery program, and do not have any interest in ever going somewhere else because I am a true one and done. The amazing support and staff made me feel right at home from day one. If you are doing this for yourself, you will succeed.

Coming from across the country, they all made me feel right at home from day one. The living arrangements are gorgeous and there are great activities planned each Saturday such as bowling, top golf, go cart racing, movies, and trips to NYC.
